A Great Day in Harlem

In 1995 Jean Bach (1918 – 2013) produced a feature-length documentary “A Great Day in Harlem”. It includes interviews with many of the surviving participants, Art Kane who organized the shoot plus video footage shot by bassist Milt Hinton, one of the participants. The film was nominated for an Oscar within the documentary category at that year’s Oscars.
